Click to enlargeThis photo shows one of four skid-mounted chemical injection systems supplied to the Chittagong Fertilizer Plant in Bangladesh.
  • The four chemicals handled by the above skid-mounted equipment are ammonia, sulphuric acid, phosphate and hydrazine.
  • Note the ammonia vaporizer on the left hand side of the steel skid.
  • Eight chemical injection pumps, three stainless steel chemical storage tanks together with their liquid control accessories and a local control panel are all prepiped and prewired, ready for field connections.
  • Pump capacities vary from 3.0 L/hr. to 19 L/hr. with injection pressures varying from 7.03 Kg./cm2 to 60 Kg./cm2.

Click to enlargeThe photograph to the left shows that service platform can also be added to the basic package to facilitate addition of chemical to the chemical mixing-holding tanks.

  • These platforms are removable and can be relocated for servicing other systems.
  • Each system is custom designed to suit the users' requirements. The configuration of the skid, tank and pump location, and service facilities are arranged to make the best use of space available while keeping in mind that accessing the equipment for service is equally important.
  • The euipment we manufacture are operator friendly.

Click to enlargeA petroleum project in the People's Republic of China required nine packaged chemical injection systems which were mounted on five seperate steel skids. Two of the nine systems are shown.

  • In the photo, each of the two stailess steel tanks feeds two triplex chemical injection pumps.
  • The stainless steel chemical tank is fitted with an agitator, armoured liquid level guage, high and low liquid level control, over-flow, drain and pump relief to tamk.
  • Suction strainers provide protection for the pumps while calibration columns provide on-the-spot pump calibration.
  • Chemicals handled by the metering pumps in this project are: polymer, sodium citrate, formalehyde, scale, corrosion inhibitor and carbon dioxide tracer.

Click to enlargeJust completed a few years ago, this large metropolitan sewage treatment plant in Canada employs three chemical dosing pumps which are capable of delivering liquid chemicals at the rate of over 1 000 GPH (3785 LPH) at a discharge pressure of 225 psig (15 bars).

  • The pump capacity is automatically regulated by a pneumatic pump stroke positioner. The 4-20 MADC remote signal from the central control room is converted toa 3-15 psig pneumatic signal at the pump. Electronic stroke positioners are also available for this pump.
  • Other pump accesories include suction strainers, pulsation dampeners and discharge line relief valves to protect ths system piping.
  • These pumps are among the largest controlled volume chemical injection pumps available in the world.
